but the trace doesnt start (over the net not the lan) immediatly

ive been on there over 5 mins and nothing so i guess it starts when the admin logs on

Im now stuck on a lan i have a hub with 4 terminals on it and one server but when i try to acccess the server little boxes appear around the terminals saying valid subnet also the lock shows up i cant seem to access the server but there are no locks on it does anyone know what im doing wrong?

All the moniter does is buy you more time on servers

it just stops the sys admin from knowing that there is someone trying to hack the system

when you log on you are using the admin logon and pw

so he is going to know there is some unauthorized access because he is already online

or do you have to do something for them to trace you?

I know that most people will refer me to the guide in advance i would like to say read it but what i want to know is is it like a normal server trace wise? is it the second you log on you get a trace? if so how long do you usually get if not what causes a trace and how can you avoid them i looked in...
