Not really. Money from privated software often funds more serious organised crime (such as drugs and firearms), affects taxes and the revenue and has often directly funded terrorism.

As a matter of interest (and apologies if this has been discussed elsewhere) - how does the CPU fare (as Russia) against the Star? What are the scores on the doors at the end? The CPU fairs poorly against any well organized defense, and while I havn't tried the Star against the CPU, I can't imagine...

:D Naaaaaah! I picture my fighter pilots as less "Tom Cruise / Top Gun" and more Biggles types who fly by a code of ethics and are back to the mess in time for tea and tiffin. If a crafty AA installation over Russia clips one they'll cry over the radios "cripes, old Bertie bought it, ...

I'm a defensive player and yet I also hate this tactic.

Nukes are meant to be dropped on cities, not on flyboys.

And before anyone says, I know it wasn't a flying fortress in dambusters, it's just a figure of speech.

I was always more a "Where Eagles Dare" man anyway

I'm a subs man myself. Assuming people don't mix fleets (cough cough) and have a select small number of battleships, there's nothing like driving a sub through them and watching them blink out. I find this a lot more discreet as well, whereupon most people see the old flying fortress heading towards...

I tend to go for a row of battleships (slighly more "line" formation than your picture, albeit easier to punch a hole in but I like to cover my coasts - comments on this please chaps?) - and a back row of carriers mainly set to bombers. However, I also dot 2 carriers about 1 ships length b...

First, I agree that any player with any sense can learn the game on his own. That is, without direct instruction from others. Simply playing the CPU will get you nowhere in the world of multiplayer. So, you must face human opponents to improve you game and in doing so at least learn indirectly from...

2nd full game, albeit a me v machine one.

I think I was USA and comp was Europe. Was very little "tactics" involved and it came down to the fact that I forgot about a couple of subs I parked up closer to Siberia than mainland Europe.

Do you seriously plan to copy and paste a signature into all your posts? Well, can't find a decent place to upload my avatar "correctly" at the moment (my server is in bits) and it sure beats doing the project review I should be writing. Ahh, copy and paste, my eternal friend. Regs mrober...

I think it would take a stern critic to say that Myst / Riven etc are not "art". Of course, many will discuss the value and concept of "art" itself but I think these games are truly things that can be appreciated by a wide range of people, "art lovers" or "games lo...
