Nah, it just means that you get known as a nutter and everyone says at defcon 4 'that's guy's a mentalist, let's all nuke him first so he doesn't do anything silly'. I'm predictable in that I'm always using my own useless 'tactics' at odds to everyone else's, 'cos I like to be different. Ask Homeown...

Seeing how no-one has made it officially yet as Asia (by posting a screenshot), I thought I'd grab my 15 seconds of forum fame by posting this apology of a score. Yes, 203. Yes, it's crap. Sorry about the rather large file too, but I'm lacking any proper image editing right now. EDIT: made it a bit ...

Damn, I was about to announce that I'd set the initial bar (very low) for europe at 338. No-one was watching, but you all trust me, no? I suspect that south america will be the easiest, since you can do a Homeowner Round-2 thing and put them all at the southernmost tip (so they don't get nuke...

You must have worked hard on getting that one perfect, Ace. I myself am going through a phase of big triangles. In the southern hemisphere generally point down, and pointing up in the north, but prevailing circumstances can change that. They seem to cover more ground defensively than Feud's standard...

with 1.43beta the Caribbean is unaccessible. I hope they will reopen it with the final version. Yes I noticed that too. I assumed it was an intended change. Shame, since the Carribean / Gulf of Mexico was my favourite spot for those "SURPRISE!" attacks on both americas simultaneously.

Those are mine, too. How abouts we try a last place picks in each game too... I pick... Hyperion, shinygerbil, and...Me! I had the 2nd lowest score out of all the qualifiers in round 1, the second lowest again in round 2. Lowest was Hyperion both times. And we knocked out shiny in the first round :P...

I should be able to make this Sunday.

I may even have a working computer of my own (with a proper non-ball mouse and everything) to play it on

Once again, I look at the players in my game, Bonsai and caranthir.pkk, and say "ulp"

On only one winner per game: you could do it, but it would be a very long tournament like so: (We used to play slams against the wall at school when we were kids using essentially the same method) 6 per game. Winner goes through Remaining 5 play again, winner goes through. Remaining 4 play again, et...

Yes I got hit at the start pretty badly, but kept most of my 'goodies' while taking out 3 of asia's silos, 2 airbases, and a few other things. After that it was all trying to get everyone to nuke each other and not me. The 'secret agent' thing would mean that it didn't just play out as a standard 3v...

I rate my chances highly :) Are they that bad? :P  They seem to be having trouble filling all of their games, seen a few start with 3. I may pop up to the place in Birmingham myself next week to see what it's all about. If I DO sign up, I'm not sure if I should go in as Mike the Wookiee, or a...

I'm in a company leading the charge of British Industry going bust. Nah, we're doing pretty well. It's us screwing the rest of manufacturing that's not helping.

I don't play or look at the forums for three days, and all hell breaks loose. Don't hate Bonsai or shinygerbil. It's a legitimate (albeit dirty and low) tactic. We've all done something similar, if not so large in scale and in the full glare of a tournament. Everyone is secretly kicking themselves t...

Once again I scrape through. :D :D :D Telling the truth I was lucky. My defences held to JESUS' final strikes, his ally perpetrated a low, low, late-game stab to secure 5th place and denying JESUS my 3rd place. All this after Hank ran away with first place and Homeowner did enough to get 2nd. Most o...

This isn't exactly complete.

Capricorn One
The Shining
The Odd Couple
Chinatown
Star Wars (the proper ones) obviously get a mention
And I have a soft spot for Batman.

And wishing to sound all artsy-fartsy and intellectual, Fight Club is a great flm, the book is better.
