I have a pretty consistent internet connection so I've never had that problem, but since you're playing SP games why dont you just go into the new game options and disable Advertise on Internet and LAN and see if that might solve your problem

yes, I played it a bit last night and just checked and saw a few games running..

you can make your own ya know, never really had trouble of being joining and if i do i just start a server with some CPU players to keep myself occupid until someone comes and spectates wanting a game

that is a total bummer it won't be an upgrade, more so for the fact that I purchased the game and a multiplayer component based upon the game should be free, especially since there is already multiplayer code in Darwinia and it was sort of planned from the beginning (or so I heard) I kinda understan...
