STEAM: KEY REVOKED

Yikes. I just logged in to check the new version and to my horrir I cannot authenticate on steam in game! I wonder if this may be due to me swapping the exe's arround when doing beta testing, and it somhow couldn't update properly. Either way I think i'm screwed. I'm presented with the opportunity t...

^ WHy should we have to discover short cuts. Something in the tutorial or a manuaul would have been nice. I'm glad I read this before my tournament game tonight! Also - i once stumbled across the "hard" nuke firing - of subs i think or bombers - to launch to areas where there is not necess...

Keep your old executables, and renam whichcever you wanna use to defcon.exe ()thats what i'm doing anyway..) and we should use whichever is most current on sunday unless fo major issues. But until then you wont get many games using the beta .exes until the community as a whole upgrades together and ...

Actually a 1.4 beta 3 has just been released. This seems to have addressed even more little bugs so I think we should use this one. Its avail on the sticky here: http://forums.introversion.co.uk/defcon/viewtopic.php?t=4290 Sunday would be good for me. Although I might be a bit worse for wear4 after ...

Yup nice moves, I sometimes do similar on for example 5 selected cities of highest population, aiming to get impact at the same times, but like you say its all about getting the sequence and timing right. Taking out silos is always nice especially like that on 2 player. Sometimes tricky to choose ch...

Really interesting stuff. I used to design the odd level for doom. It's interesting to further speculate on the game. We know it models whole cities procedurally, and we know it is going to take them down to a level of office block detail. Even more so, we've seen hints of further details on a level...

Pacthing process has been fine on steam for me. Unfortunately not enough people around for me to try the 1.41 patch. I rolled back to my 1.4 exe and played one ofthe best 6 players games in a while though. Some slight lag spikes but it was not as bad as some people seem to be experiencing. edit. tbh...

To install with steam I ran the extraction and put the defcon execulatble in Steam/SteamApps/common/Defcon/ and replaced the old defcon.exe (keeping a backup obv).

Game wise there's about 1 other server running this version so not yet seen how it influences performance.
