Saying that 'every OS can read them no problem' is wildly inaccurate the general form it was given. Even Windows can't read some BMPs. The .bmps that are created by Defcon can be easily viewed on just about any Mac OS or Windows box, out of the box. Preview in Mac OS X has no problem with Windows ....

bmp's are the best. They don't require anything extra to view (TGA's can't be views w/o a seperate viewer), they can have almost any color setting except 32-bit (disapointing, but oh well). I also belive they're actuatlly smaller then a fully uncompressed png. Every OS can read them no problem (not...

Whilst I applaud the addition of the big features, there are a few little things that I think would help greatly (and if you're not taking such suggestions here then just ignore me; I'll go away :-) )... 1) In the server selection list displaying the type of game and the length of time it has run fo...

Playing in cool places ?
Hiya, Earlier today a friend of mine was travelling across the country and I was at home - I suggested we fire up a game of Defcon. Now, on the train he's using the wifi which - probably for technical reasons - means that he's actually connected from a host in .se, despite travelling on the main lin...

Re: [BUG REPORT] Ogg File corrupt data/sounds/defcon6c.ogg
After the first error, I already re-downloaded and re-installed the game. So it's a bug, not my soundcard, memory, cpu what the f. ever. That doesn't actually follow. All it means is that it's persistant after a reinstall. If your memory were faulty then it's possible that the data might be corrupt...

Most of the leadiers in the world that have nukes, are either crazy, under pressure or retarded It's so very true... Should get rid of all real nuclear weapons and settle differences on Defcon instead. At the risk of seeming sad... I remember a Star Trek episode which used this as a premise; a brie...

Minor: Sync debug left in ?
Hiya, During a few games where I've been spectating I've had re-synchronisation events occur; things stop and the system resynchronises. Mostly these are when I'm accidentally sending a few MB in an email and obviously my connection suffers a little for it. However, in the application directory - sp...
