Re: noob questions

Sorry I couldn't figure this out on my own. I bought the game yesterday. Can you pause in a single player game against AI? I'm going to play at work and I run a 440 ton crane carring molten iron so I need to pause. How do you change your player name? I'm getting tired of being New Player 1. Thanks ...

How is this idea for managing nuclear strikes?

Okay, when launching bombers and subs to strike my opponent's military targets, this strategy came up to my mind. 1) Launch every single bomber, set to SRBM mode, and micro-manage so they basically just fly in circles over my territory, until all have been launched and are in a nice little group. 2)...

Wish I was that good. I actually came in third place in a 2v2v2 game earlier, not too bad really, got a few good hits on Europe.

It's really really picky, you have to mess with it a lot. You have to put in something like: 139.46, 35.4223 (Takes you south west of Tokyo, Japan) in order for it to work. Can't have any letters in it, and you may have to reverse the numbers. (I think Google Earth displayed it as 35.4223, 139.46, w...

I won my first game

Dunno if I should be happy about it or not. I completely lost the sea battle and had almost no hope of getting my bombers in because of the anti-missle silos. I only one because the guy had to go soon so he fired everything, and I countered with my subs and bombers. Then he left the game after launc...

Use a program like Google Earth to locate the city. You can use that to find the Lat/Long coordinates. Put those into the simulator to be taken to the city.

That "red ring" is the blast radius. :P

Found a nuclear bomb simulator

Thought it might be interesting to share. http://meyerweb.com/eric/tools/gmap/hydesim.html If you know the Lat/Long coordinates of a city, any city, you can go there. Click on Satellite to see it through Google Earth. Max yield in the simulator is 99999 KT. Quite interesting to see the effects of th...

Would it be a good idea to practice against the CPU? Like have a large free for all battle with me and five CPU, or splitting them up into teams? Or is the CPU just not good enough to practice with for later play against humans? I don't understand. You say to use my fighters to scout, but yet my bat...

I always lose

I've read a lot of the FAQs and guides here and experimented on my own, but I can never win a game. No matter if it's multiple players or 1 on 1, I always end up losing the most. Very frequently my subs get demolished as soon as I raise them to fire, crippling my offense of getting rid of their silo...

You could always set the odd-territory out to be a computer player at all times. Just a thought.
