...And the game has been out for a few days thus new players keep appearing... Sigh, this is like Counter-Strike where everybody is calling everybody else a "noob"... Atleast this is the first person I see do that here so perhaps that's a good sign for the community...

Finding a wallet on the street doesn't make it moral to keep the money in it you know, those people are still doing something illegal and immoral... The game was 15 buc...

Eh, if he is the one that disconnects, how is the loss going to be counted on you? His game will keep going offline but the authentication/scoring servers will catch him as gone, not you... Since he'll be offline he won't send signal that others dropped... atleast I think it's possible to program it...

Agreed about the point system, I was going to suggest something like that myself. Not something that will make you feel bad if you don't play too much and so end up with little points but something nice and simple, perhaps similar to the system Yahoo! used to have for games like chess. Enough incent...

After you have managed to auth your key and everything you can start DEFCON without launching Steam first. All you have to do is make a copy of Steam.dll and place it in the main DEFCON folder. Double clicking DEFCON.exe should allow it to run fine since the CD key check and everything else is done ...
