Actually, I was laughing because you said there was no optimal strategy (I do know how to play rock, paper, scissors). In fact, there is an optimal mixed strategy for playing rock, paper, scissors to get statistically the best outcome: randomise perfectly between the three. I will again waive the ma...

a mixed strategy can be a uniform strategy A mixed strategy is not a uniform strategy. A uniform, or "pure" strategy is one where the same thing is always picked. There you go, you've learnt something today! If your mind is so severely limited, you should not exert yourself by discussing ...

That's not a uniform strategy. AAaaaah, I understand now why some of you have been opposing me so ferociously. We didn't have the same conception of "uniform" it appears. By a "uniform strategy" I also include variable strategies. If everyone chooses tails 60% of the time...

I agree with you and I was expecting someone to say something like this. However, you will agree then that the game depends on the choice of the side of coin. Since this is done in the beginning of the game, this initial choice is completely random. In other words, winning or losing the game will b...

They're much harder to scout too. I'd have to disagree with that. Since the silos are more sparse, you won't get shot down too quickly. You simply need 1 carrier in south africa sending 5 scouts and voilà, you got yourself an overlook of the entire continent. I don't think that's true - since silos...

There is generally no optimal placement in games like this. Just a quick guess from my knowledge of game theory tells me that the optimum strategy for this game is a mixed one, so you won't see the same thing every time. That, of course, is your opinion and you are completely entitled to think so.....

If the game were hugely unbalanced, I think they would have noticed during beta.

There have been threads about this before, and I think it was noted by the beta testers that in reality the distribution of wins wasn't really skewed significantly.

Re: SUGGESTION: Balance each territory's forces

Thats the whole point. Each territory has its advantages and disadvantages. Yeah, but it seems like the larger nations have no advantages compared to some of the others. Off the top of my head, I'd say: Better access to oceans for ship placement Better access to different enemies (more potential po...

If you use your carriers and airbases correctly, it's possible to send your carriers' fighters off on suicide scouting runs whilst refreshing the carrier with fighters from the airbase. This means you have to be within the airbase's maximium operating range but outside the point of no return range.

I agree with the fact that you need some kind of unit grouping...for instance, in the BigWorld scenario you get 33 units of each kind. Now try moving 99 units separately...and now imagine that you need to reroute them every 2 minutes. See? Grouping units is needed in some cases, although it's obvio...

A note if you think it's ugly - you can turn off country borders from the ingame menu.
