I think you should...
STOP WHINING!

It doesn't matter. Everybody dies anyway... People will figure it out how to play and how to get better. Just wait a couple of weeks. Until then - you might want to play something more "challenging" for you...

le_jawa: I noticed that you're Uplink is looking for a 32-bit screen, and can only find a 16-bit one. I'm not sure if this is the problem, but does your xorg.conf (or the XFree86 equivalent) have a "depth 32" entry? If not, then you could either add one, or maybe you could change the dept...

One of the best tracks I think you can listento, while the world goes down is:

Samuel Barber - Adagio for Strings

or the Oxford New College Choir Version
Agnus Dei (Vocal Version of Barber's Adagio for Strings)

Awesome and creepy... ;-)

Judging from your posts here, you obviously do not have much experience with either computergames or forums since your posts are really really ugly... Well, I don't want to let you die too stupid and that's why I post the link http://forums.introversion.co.uk/uplink/viewtopic.php?t=36362 here. And n...

[BIG EDIT] Well, after I posted, that I wouldn't want to try the multimonor thing, I decided differently and... actually tested it. But not only tested it, I also made a couple screenshots and an internet-page, so that you can see how it is like. The page is hosted on my private computer @home and t...

Can you apply the 1.47 Patch maybe? And after that the 1.48 Patch? Maybe it is something like that. Or - if you have the old version, can you install an older Version and then patch? "Downloaders" without the code card might have a problem though, since they cannot input the code that is a...
