I had a game like that that I still made interesting, despite that. My active opponent got the better area, while I had a small one. He thought he had it easily won without even fighting me, but I kept maneuvering and attacking him, and lasted much longer than it would have.

I did not know it before Constriction 1 as well. Maybe I should have explained better, but I aimed the game mostly for players of the first one, since a few showed interest.
In that one, Range 1 needed 28800 research points to be developed.
