Already using it
Hi, I'm already using that version, not sure if the slowdowns could be caused by Win/Mac users having problems at the other end? Or does the final version include yet more fixes?

@monty, I already suggested that as a measure, but why no preclude Defcon having 2 active network connections on one PC, or disable by default...? I would hope a future patch might introduce the ability to save options as profiles (fairly commonplace since Worms 2 :) ) to save time and hassle. Or, e...

Host as spectator / prevent spectating in 2nd process
Just a couple of thoughts... Would anyone think it useful to be able to host as a spectator? I personally wouldn't bother, but it could be an optional donation of bandwidth and stability since so many hosts end games that turn against them. If (when?) the much requested DC screensaver surfaces, it c...

Backstabbing the CPU, or how to leave a human/AI alliance
I have noticed something odd (=dumb?) about the CPUs. And some humans :) If you are allied, and you quietly un-tick the Cease Fire box in Aliiances, you can happily target installations and send your subs against battleships. The odd part is that you can do this to an allied CPU player all day witho...

Preorder count guesstimate?
I though some of you might be interested in a thread for some basic maths... or it might be just me being dull. I have preordered 2 copies from IV: Sep 14, 2006 7:28 PM - order 714x Sep 19, 2006 8:40 PM - order 870x So it looks like that's averaging over 300 preorders per day! Of course, order numbe...

Gravity Kills did that too, and Bjork released a whole load of remixes done by fans - not sure if we should really rate IV's composers up there though :) It would be interesting to see if the small samples start cropping up as sound effects on Flash sites etc., there will be thousands of us doing ou...
