What about game modes? I guess the default everyone assumes is Dark extermination, but the other modes can be fun too.

Aha, I didn't know that. Maybe we should leave it up to the pair? You can play as many games as the two of you want, on whatever map settings you like - basically so long as you set the rules for your fight first, and can come back sometime later and say "Player X is better than player Y" ...

As for settings, I'd suggest Dark Extermination, and either a set of custom made symmetrical maps or each pair of people fights three times to balance out random maps a little. I'd probably prefer the multiple games per pair, more games is always good!

Personally I would prefer allowing more people to join, and restarting the cycle if not.

My week ends tomorrow afternoon, I hope I'll be able to complete my construction by then, it depends on how fast I can make glass :/
