Re: [Suggestion] prison rape?
--==<snip>==-- I did not claim that rapes do not happen in prison. What I said is that Stormfront is not a credible source. That's all. As to statistics, I am aware of the statistics. Most reputable sources indicate that somewhere around 3-5% of prisoners in the US will be the victims of nonconsens...

Stormfront isn't really a credible source.

Re: Hospital Architect!
It should also be noted that building a game on the basis of a suggestion made on the forums is not the greatest idea. While IV would likely be in the clear, legally speaking, people have been sued for publishing other people's ideas, even if they were freely given. It is generally best to avoid tha...

Re: RANT: What do you hate about Prison Architect?
As I had already stated, "many of PA's real life players are computer enthusiasts.". I'm very aware of the Uplink game - many prisoner biographies give it shout-outs. I was pointing out that players are not "computer enthusiasts," but IV fans. While the two sets intersect, the c...

You know that there is an "Edit" button associated to each of your posts, yes? You can use this to add new information to an already existing post without multi-posting. It is generally considered bad form to reply to yourself.

You do know that IV have announced their next project(s) already, right? They were mentioned in the release announcement for update 6.

On the other hand, IV have a history of releasing source code for their games a few years after release. So there is still a sliver of hope. ;)

Re: RANT: What do you hate about Prison Architect?
I think its awful how often I see custom user inmates who have "hacked", or engaged in some degree of cyber crime. The prevalence of this crime turning up in custom prisoners is maddening - I don't want a prison full of boring computer criminals, its not realistic to see that ratio so hig...

wow, you really are stupid.....100 bucks a lot of money  As with anything, the definition of "a lot" of money is highly context dependent. In a prison, where one might earn only a few cents per hour ( this article gives a range of 16-93 cents per hour), paid into a commissary fund, $...

Re: Slowdowns With Big Prisons?
That explains a lot actually. I have hundreds of workmen often walk towards the same thing, only to turn around when someone beats them there....then turn back towards it...they're just fishtailing around not actually building things or what ever they need to do. It's REALLY annoying and I'd get vi...

...The resource utilization for the game is fairly intense, but still only maxing out at about 25% of my clock... The largest bottleneck in the game is almost certainly the path-finding algorithm. Unless things have changed recently, path-finding runs in a single thread, hence running balls-out, pa...

You should have gotten the email almost instantaneously... have you checked your spam filters? Also, if I recall correctly, buying from IV requires the creation of an account, maybe? Can you log into the store using those credentials and download the game?

Re: [Suggestion] Allow material/grounds on map border to cha
My recollection is that the border tiles were modifiable in some of the early alphas. However, this lead to problems with path-finding, and with entities getting stuck outside of the map. This can be a problem for workers, even if all they are doing is laying down new sod (the process of changing th...
