Sure as sugar, Unity was cancelled, but the Yak also hinted at the (albeit unlikely) situation where Unity may get a look in on the GameCube 2, PS3 or Xenon. [sic]

Consolation... (Obligatory NDA Bending Question!)

Hey, Beta Folks, it's time for this month's Obligatory NDA Bending Question! This question has been sent in from a young man from the northwest who asks: Would the control system(s) from Darwinia translate to the wonderfully comfortable yet underused Gamecube pad... the full of buttons 'n' groovy fo...

I don't 'love' Introversion, but then again there's very few game making folks who I've got strong feelings towards or against. In my experience, every development team is capable of extreme greatness, and also extreme awful. But one thing I know for SURE is that Peter Molyneux actually -IS- up to h...

The way it's being programmed, it TECHNICALLY should be completely portable to Windows, Linux, Windows CE and Macintosh. But that's bearing in mind I'd need to be able to compile it on these systems to compile for them. Unless I do CRAZY EMULATED THINGS. Which I might just do.

I can't port it directly because of the evilness of Blitz.
What I CAN do however, is rewrite it in C and then port that to Linux will zero hassle. (Like Sysrq did for Snowdonia).

How's that sound, my man?

If I may repeat an already mentioned (probably) point... Many C++ libraries are totally portable. (They should be anyway... unless forced into platform specifics) That Dr. Kain and Snowdonia I mentioned on the Darwinia forums were written in C++ using Allegro, and therefore are hideously portable to...

My computer's idle time is dedicated to compiling an amazingly huge program which in turn takes my computer's idle time and creates platform games.
