Re: Episode 9 - Subversion
Hey guys, I just wanted to say that I missed quite a lot of updates since the RSS feed on the main site went down. Is there a way to get it back online ? Possibly with the tweets included so that I don't have to use Twitter ? While it is technically possible, I really doubt Introversion Software wi...

Re: What are Laser Troopers?
I think only the people who participated in some phase of the testing of the game know, and they are unlikely to still be around. It seems people don't care about this board anymore. Moderators don't delete spam (or they have insufficient privileges to fix it and they eventually got tired), and asid...

Re: Defcon1.6 or 1.42 on linux debian10 (or 11) without Steam.
Hi, Thanks for your answer ... while I quite agree with you i finally installed steam just for that game ..... true that introversion shouldn't focus on steam this way ... Anyway, I can play now. C ya ;) It is sad. Also, there is unfair ban evasion advantage in the Steam version, as it gets the aut...

Re: Defcon1.6 or 1.42 on linux debian10 (or 11) without Steam.
Yes, it exists. In the Wayback Machine . It probably doesn't exist for 1.42 though. Blame Introversion Software for taking down a lot of stuff, and now almost not caring about anything other than Steam. Personally, I'd never install Steam. Their rootkit-like VAC is evil enough, but I dislike the ide...

Re: Darwinia Beta Update Announcement
Coming back from the grave just to say who the fuck, in this year of our lord 2021, cannot meet Darwinias system requirements? Also are you actually complaining that games are getting better and more sophisticated with more computational power available? I just.. what? Assuming I'm not trying to ha...

Re: Twenty years of Uplink
Yeah, it’s been pretty silent and I can’t find any reference to a game preservation update for Uplink either for PC or for iOS. I feel like iOS is the perfect home for this game the way it makes having a futuristic piece of kit like an iPad Pro and using it to subvert the corporate dominance of wal...

Re: Twenty years of Uplink
Unfortunately, Introversion Software staff doesn't seem to read these forums much anymore (sometimes they do though, but it is when they copy their posts from other platforms here). Contacting them by email doesn't help either, waiting for a few months now (and now I changed my email address and not...

Twenty years of Uplink
Uplink was first released twenty years ago (the post). Anyone cares?

Re: Darwinia Beta Update Announcement
Not everyone is on Steam. Please provide proper patches for non-Steam players. And fix the website which has been broken since some date in 2016 iirc. Though my device doesn't meet its system requirements anyway. And I'd prefer to wait until the source code SVN gets updated, if ever. I'm somewhat di...

Re: Support for Prison Architect - Support Form is ded
But sometimes it is the only choice. What would you do if you want to purchase a retail package of any Introversion game? The company doesn't sell them since about 2016 iirc. But you can go to some place like Amazon or eBay, and buy it, some packages are even non-used. As for the support, I'm not su...

Re: Where's Wask?
Already played it though. On GNU/Linux it runs in DOSBox. However it seems pressing keys to skip things like "FIND THAT WASK" or "5 4 3 2 1 GO!" makes the game behave like they already ended (as in, e.g. pressing enter/return five times will insert a few empty (invalid) guesses)....

Re: Where's Wask?
Who are you explaining this for..? If you'd played the game you'd understand that my suggestion was nonsense . Even the joke itself is getting on a bit (a few years back any new tech thing was pitching that it would use the blockchain - even if there was no sensible reason to do so). These days it'...

Re: Where's Wask?
Clearly someone needs to port WW? to HTML5 or whatever technology is currently in vogue. Cryptocurrency is probably involved. It is weird it is called HTML5, when in fact it is HTML5 + CSS3 + JavaScript. But I have no idea what is the game about, maybe it could work without JS or CSS3. Not everyone...

Re: Where's Wask?
Admittedly I don't have a Windows machine to play it on (how's that Linux port coming, eh?). But you can use Wine I think, or Windows virtual machine if it doesn't work or has bad performance. Also Googling "Where's Wask?" gives only a single result. How is that even possible? Google won'...
