Re: (Suggestion) Name In The Game

On Steam (assuming you use Steam instead of the DRM-free version) there is a Name in the Game DLC that upgrades any tier of the game you have purchased to include a Name in the Game key you can redeem on the activation site.

Re: Explain the needs system?

The mod system is being worked on, and will likely open up more systems in the future.

Re: Explain the needs system?

Needs are given to prisoners when they are generated, so only when they arrive at your prison. Existing prisoners have their needs saved in the save file and are never re-generated. Existing prisoner's needs are saved to keep track of their need levels, etc.

Re: Updating a mod via steam

In game, open the main menu and click the "Open Save Folder" button, and there should be a file called "debug.txt". That's all we need. But note that this file is overwritten every time you run the game.

Re: Updating a mod via steam

Thanks Pruvan. MiriW, do you have a debug log from when you are trying to publish the mod? I'm just curious if there is anything failing in the update process? Cheers elDiablo Edit - FYI: The mod file on Steam is 616 bytes, and all files in it are 0 sized, which is why I'm thinking there is somethin...

Re: Updating a mod via steam

Is there anything in your debug log that points to a problem? When you try and update the mod, look for lines that start with "[SteamWorkshopWrapper::". Or just put your debug log up in some code tags here for us to see.

Re: Intro crashing

This is a known bug caused by the special character in your Window's username not being correctly handled by the game when it tries to save the preferences.txt file. There are various threads about this in the Developer forum . The good news is that this is one of the bugs currently being looked at ...

Re: Problems with GetNearbyObjects

Sorry, my bad. TypeName is the Object type's name to get. This is the name given in the Object list from materials.txt. Things like, "Workman", "Toilet", "Visitor", etc. You can see the full list of default item names in the ObjectRequired section of the Material mod sc...

Re: Anyone been able to add functional staff?

Can you post the entity description from your materials.txt for the SysAdmin please? Are you setting them to an entity?

Edit: Totally didn't see your post before mine. Sorry about that.

Hey there, can you attach your prison file for us please? If you need hosting, report the bug in mantis and stick it up there.

Cheers

Re: Upcoming feature : Mod support

There's already a really good resource for modding and available functions on the dev wiki. Look under Modding and Lua. I'd suggest taking a look there, and then trying out the things you want to do.

Yep, just call any grants you want to override the same as the base ones, and the first mod to load will override it.

Got any graphical mods active? I'm guessing they haven't yet been updated to A17 (as the sprite sheet is constantly changing...).
