I wonder if the patch will fix the memory leak.... That has to be the only REALLY annying bug I know of. Why? Because it means Windows attempts to change my Page File, causing all the programs running at the time to loose their ability to use the Ram for a short while, causing most of them to crash....

Just a question, why DOES the Uplink map screen take up so much resources? I don't expect this game to be as bad though, since developing a 3D game shows you that you have to do things optimised to get it to run well, and news of a new graphics engine is good, as it means they hacn't recycled uplink...

Whats wrong with Steam? Seriously, I hate it when all people do is complain about software which is not only useful, but exposes companies like introversion to huge crowds, to get thier games known. And Starforce is much, MUCH worse than Steam. Steam doesn't ruin your computer. Yes, it uses memory, ...

Bab5, just how limited is your account? Abort boot, drop to root, format another partition, install new windows there, voila, problem solved, winXP "security" circumvented, full HD access attained. Thats given me an idea to "loosen" the security on my school network. I have had ...

Please, god, no goatse....

Also, Source or no Source, I can still use it. I like having source. Means I can make some "additions" to the game, if I easily die, or muck it up in cirtain places.

However, if you buy retail you get the GREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN box and cool manual. Exactly. I'm stuck on deciding... But then again, I could just make my own box (I got one heck of a printer, and taking the cover off my more rubbish DVD games is easy), it is just the manual... Then again, most games ...

I also like the idea of Steam. I also like Steam itself. If it is the fact that it has worked flawlessly for me, that I got 10+ games for the same price as 1 in the shops, OR the fact thatr your games are ALWAYS up to date when you try to run them. I think Steam is great. The fact they are supportin...

You also have the copys from shops, which really ARE identical to each other, especially with no CD-KEY style protection. That goes order info plan down the drain...

Well, is there any uniqueness about each of the copies? Order number? Anything? If there was, that could be used in some way to regester it with steam. Otherwise, I don't really see a way. I regestered on the forum to ask weather it'd be best to wait it out and buy the game on steam, or order it on ...
