One of those looks like "nuke the helll out of Cairo"... which us a bit of a shoe-in, Cairo always gets it! Still, signed up for Hijinks. Only yesterday I was suggesting my housemate try the demo on his Ubuntu box.

I'm hoping the video from the launch event will emerge an provide a bit of additional look and feel for those who missed it. That should give us enough to talk about.

I think you should go make an MMO. Get started right away. Take your time. Come back when it's finished.

Groovy. Will add you back when I'm on next... I've had loads of adds this week from Multiwinia players, but most of them have buggered off to play AvP or MW2 since then, while folk that haven't added me keep on inviting me to games!

- You can no longer have officers moving and issueing goto orders anymore. I really miss that. :( I did at first, but it's fine once you research Follow. + SafeAreas seem to be able to change more than once. Help me out here, as a non map editing person; what's this mean/do? + Objectives can be 'un...

...I think the risk and time are worth it. Then you weren't born to be a gambler, or a producer. Given an infinite budget (or a meaty one anyway), yes of course your idea has merit. But in this case, it's just never going to happen because Introversion are about 20 times smaller than they'd need to...

The objective says 'start Armour production' so it really should get ticked when you first drop one and stay there... also...

It's an interesting model, but it can cause bad blood if people don't eventually get what they pay for (c.f. the 'Legionnaires' movie project in the '90s).

IV gave the impression they're doing okay from D+ after a week's sales. Not Earth-shattering but good enough for their plans.

What, you mean PC only ;)

The vibe from Friday's talk was that Multiplayer was on the cards, but not driving the design of Subversion at this stage.

I'd like to see the game come out, which it won't if they try and turn it into something an order of magnitude more complex than it already is. Chris said in the talk last night that Multiplayer wasn't something they were decided on, so it's definitely not going to be integral to the extent you sugg...

Don't wanna steal Chris' thunder, presumably there will be a blog soon with the same level of detail he demoed us last night. But he demoed it live on his Mac, and it am shiny. So far. Not even alpha, but coming along.

I got a good insight from Chris & Mark at tonight's do on the ins and outs. Basically Assault wouldn't be viable without further optimisation to raise the population, and they didn't think it was worth it since the game mode was essentially broken/unbalanced anyway. Shame to miss out on the fun ...
