What are you trying to edit? The only time I've seen something similar is when you load the 'special' profile and try to edit it, it won't save the files because they don't actually exist in the profile. If you take a note of the exact filenames it is trying to save, then just go into the directory ...

Notebooks do have bios settings, but no video card settings... I guess that's because the cards are permanent fixtures, ie. not upgradeable. So still no luck. OK, with the latest drivers provided by the HP website, the version number is 6.14.10.4276 Using the Omega Drivers, i get version 6.14.10.4830 Neither work, I shall have a look for other versions to try! Edit: Found version 6.13.10.3224, didn't even get to see the intro. No surprise really, it's old...
