If we downloaded the game from Ambrosia, can we make our own box just to fit in? Pretty please?

Yeah, I use TextEdit, saving the files as .txt as I go along. It's really just the problem with the way TextEdit encodes tabs, so my syntax is getting screwed. If worst comes to worst, I could always write the scripts at work in "Notepad." And I did manage to get Darwinia working again, and I have s...

Now that I think about it, it probably was a problem with strings_default. I assume that it was once again a problem with the way the tabs are encoded. Prophile suggested UTF-8, but I have yet to try that.

I'm working on a mod called Blackout. Basic plot: Power shorts out in generator, skews code library for DGs, creates evil anti DGs, evil DGs allow virii into Darwinia.

Yet another weird crash that I could probably easily fix

(YAWCTICEF (Yaw-city-sef) This script I wrote has some errors (my tab key is acting funky, it must be an error with the encodings). I wrote it, put it in my game folder and ran the game. CRASH! Error 10. Here's the script: CamCut internet Say F1 Say F5 CamMove firewall 10 Say F6 Say F7 CamBuildingFo...

I thought that the fact that they moved and beghaved like ants made them obvious. Anyways, I didn't beat the game the fist time around (Got stuck on reprogram the pattern buffer), but I'll go for it again now. I've always liked this mod a lot. The level with the yard and the defend the hill was a st...

Interesting. I didn't like the whole part about the other doctor suspecting an infection, but otherwise it was awesome.

First off, I referred Buster to you in the first place, so the blame partly falls on me. Second: I have a lower end model iMac than our freind here has, but after I turned down my graphics and sound settings, it runs just fine (albeit a little uglier, but hey, who's counting?). This leads me to beli...

Viral marketing eh? There is a genre of game called Alternate Reality Gaming, centered around the phrase: This is not a game. ilovebees and ourcolony.net are excellent examples. I'm not an expert at this, but head on over to unfiction.com. You should be able to find information on an ARG, and resour...

Error Type 11 (Change of scenery)

Much to my surprise, I have created an error type 11 (fatal signal). This surprised me, since I'm more of a type 10 person. Anyways, let's get down to it: Blackbox.txt ========================= DARWINIA BLACK BOX REPORT ========================= VERSION : macosx-full-1.2.2 ERROR : 'Fatal Signal (...

Does your mod work under Windows/Linux? Also, is that the whole blackbox file (i.e. no Apple crashlog information) ? The mod is still in development (no beta has been released as of yet (that can change if it needs to)), and I have the crash log here: http://studio-14.net/Darwinia/nfreader_crashlog...

Error messages (AKA: Why is it crashing?)

Someone on IRC requested that I post this, so here goes... First off, the Blackbox.txt error message: ========================= DARWINIA BLACK BOX REPORT ========================= VERSION : macosx-full-1.2.2 ERROR : 'Fatal Signal (10) Received ' ========================= ====== STACKTRACE ==...
