Not an important bug
I have two compounds for my prison, 1 for deathrow, the other for the rest.
the bug:
Guards bring food over from the main compound to the deathrow compound.
definition used for compound:
- could be a prison by itself on a different map (except for shared warden, admin etc)

Tunnels are dug faster through the large version of the waterpipes.
Use small pipes, they can be hooked up to 15 or so items before being at capacity.
Don't make pipelines that run from cell to cell. Every hook-up means the digging goes faster

its the way the program works.
until a cellblock is finished, cells are considered as single units.
this will be permanent if your cells are facing into an open area, even if the open area looks as a cellblock. And WILL cause lots of lag.
Just finish the cellblock and it will resolve itself.

sounds reasonable
considering that I enjoy designing before buildling as well
.... its not always clear 2 or 3 days later what the heck I was thinking about that square somewhere.
For now, i just add objects or use planned walls to define a room/block.

another option is: build canteen with all needs build holding pen with enough beds and some needs make regime: 11 pm - 9am: Freetime after that: alternate eat / freetime every 2 hours ... or ... add 3 work hours somewhere add enough guards for holding pen and canteen. ... maybe 5 each (10 total) mig...

you should try making multiple unconnected facilities and micro-manage your prisoners between the facilities. check on addictions, moods etc as well... its lots of extra work with lots of pauzing the game, just the check and sort prisoners. although, a complete fresh batch of prisoners means none ha...
