I haven't read all of the replies. But I feel like the time and speed are pretty broken. Each block is a meter correct? How long does it take you to walk a meter even at your slowest pace? Not 30 minutes to walk 100, that's for sure. It's complex to fix due to timing Vs lag issues. But I'm sure that...

Check your deployments and make sure to have those areas "staff only". Otherwise they will wander out there and figure out they can escape.
I would at least fence that area off too.

I can, but the problem has somehow resolved itself. I did some more looking and about 1/3 of them were legit contraband.
The prisoners end up behaving as if the guard just brought a new prisoner in otherwise.

But now I don't seem to have that problem anymore.

I've only been able to see it once, but it seems like suddenly about 1/8 of my prisoners in the canteen suddenly go into a lock down state (in handcuffs) and have to wait for a guard to escort them to their cells. As soon as they get to the cell the handcuffs come off and they go about their busines...

Help me understand the envornment effect.

What does it mean? It seems like using upgraded materials. I noticed one of my prisoners with a green "environment" status effect in the yard after he was done working out and calling his folks, all I've done there is grass. How does this mechanic work? My current prison makes about $40,00...
