Re: Possible Open Beta for v1?
you know they spent the month busting bugs. many of the bugs are not all that bad even really. Well, according to Mantis, one dev spent like a week fixing bugs for the upcoming version. Anyway, I'm not so worried about the pre-existing bugs, I'm worried about the ones coming with the new features a...

Re: Possible Open Beta for v1?
Well, it is an odd decision to skip the beta phase. As Trixi said, all the recent alphas brought game-changing features, and they all brought game-breaking bugs - and now v1.0 is to get even more new features than usual. Plus there are tons of old, but still serious bugs left, too. For example for t...

Re: Dev Wiki Spam Vandalism
Thank you very much, that's great. Disabling anonymous editing should actually stop the spam wave. Now it would be nice if we could get rid of the 75 spam articles (possibly plus the ~ 200 pages that had the {{Delete}} tag before) and the 1100 spam revisions of the "Ironing Board" article.

Re: @ Admins: Please change Wiki Access !
I also don't think it makes sense to revert the spam edits in the Ironing Board article every two minutes. We'll have to wait for Introversion to provide some measures. It would probably be enough to disallow anonymous editing (as I think only registered customers can create accounts). If that shoul...

Re: V1 release in October
In the Q&A session of the V1 live demo event, Mark said something like "The iPad version will come out a bit later". I don't know if you testers know anything more, but other than that short reference, the tablet version has not been mentioned by the devs since months, and especially n...

Re: Is this the general spam forum?
Since yesterday, the wiki has a spam problem, too. It would be easy to stop, as all the spam is coming from two IPs so far, but as Mark and Chris are the only administrators that have ever been assigned there, nobody can do, and so the wiki gets flooded. I opened a Mantis case about the wiki needing...

Re: Mantis clean up - you can help too!
Just informational: Nearly exactly three years after the first case (http://bugs.introversion.co.uk/view.php?id=1), #10000 (http://bugs.introversion.co.uk/view.php?id=10000) has been opened some days ago. Of those 10000 cases ever opened, 6307 are not closed as of now (one week before the 1.0 presen...

dog training - guard dogs become able to smell booze advanced searching - higher chance to find contraband and tunnels when searching cells or prisoners (default rate could be lowered) psychological skills - chance to make prisoner just give up fighting eavesdrop skills - (small) chance to learn abo...
Re: How do I get the tablet version of prison architect?
I don't think there's an Android version ready yet. While the Alpha 30 changelog reads "the game is now running very nicely indeed on the iPad and Android" and it was shown in the according video, too, the subsequent "Help us testing" mail said "We've got a bit more work to ...

Re: Modding API
Outside of campaign mode I don't think there's any way to create new windows or messages to the user. In normal game mode the required functions don't exist in the Game library. Inside the campaigns (i.e. the DeathRow campaign), the Game library is the same. If I call something like Game.AdviserSay...

Some new ones: 16. Contraband: Do Paramedics really carry Needles? (It's neither in materials.txt nor in the tooltip) 17. Contraband: Can someone tell (for sure) the use of Torches, Axes and Spades for prisoners? 18. Prisoner: Can someone confirm or deny the detailed numbers given in the Wikia wiki ...

Re: Will there be a game after this like a Hospital A?
You're basically requesting Theme Hospital, one of the Bullfrog games that inspired Prison Architect. It's nearly 20 years old now, but there's a modern-day open-source remake called CorsixTH as well as at-least-not-so-old copycat games like Hospital Tycoon. (Of course that doesn't necessarily mean ...

Re: This god damn event system...
This sentiment may have been abandoned, but once upon a time Prison Architect was a game you could 'set and forget' and your guards would deal with prisoners, workmen with repairs, etc. Now I do feel like there are excessive amounts of micromanagement required, and the virus is a good example. You ...

Re: Bug in the Event System?
It could be some external warden assigned to your prison as long as you don't have one, or just some officer from the state (called "warden" for reasons of simplicity). However, it should not be. It would only be fair to give the player a chance to properly start his basic prison before ra...

Re: 'Work Hours' Event
In the Alpha 36 video, Chris told that prisoners are likely to continue demanding such things if you are following their requests to easily.
So them repeating the demand so often might be reduced by waiting some time before limiting the work time (or by not reducing it by so much?).
