Short answer: The disadvantages of each warden are simply that he doesn't have the advantages of the others. If you think using any of these advantages makes it too easy for you, use the one without any advantages.

You have to manually switch it on after it failed. Click the power station, then select "Switch On" in the entity option. Did you do so?

Prison Architect uses a musical soundtrack only sparsely, e.g. in the cutscenes of the campaign and during riots or executions. It also should be much harder to start a fire. For some, if not most objects it should not be possible to set them on fire using only a lighter. I mean, did you ever try to burn a metal object like a prison toilet or a showerhead with a lighter? Or something massive like a door, a solid table, etc.?...
