Re: No benefits for Minimum Security ?

That was not cliche, but slight exaggeration. Here is what wikipedia got to tell about min-sec: On the other end are "minimum security" prisons which are most often used to house those for whom more stringent security is deemed unnecessary. For example, while white-collar crime rarely res...

Re: No benefits for Minimum Security ?

The rationale for min-sec most likely to be clever is this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ru12YzfJ_PA Mr Bigs is not murdering the people around. He is just pushing the buttons. Max-sec are the buttons, they are the guys who actually do the killing and extorting. Min-sec, by definition, is very ha...

Re: No benefits for Minimum Security ?

I agree- min sec should be less likely to attempt to escape.

Re: Automatic Reassignments (Alpha 25)

I like you idea blip. But I also like the way it is now- I don't mind it (except for the bug that causes supermax to be downgraded to max after a murder). But your idea blip provides more freedom, and would be fun to play with.

Re: Legal System (Alpha 25)

I think the 25 year automatic sentence is just fine, and shouldn't be left up to the player. Sentencing rules are more in the realm of the respective state/country legislatures, not prison staff.

I do like the idea of having a parole room.

Re: Struggling With An Entrance

Haha I hear you on waiting for grants, and those two are tough ones. Another idea, looking at your top screenshot, is to remove the staff door entrance and wall it off, as well as remove the middle of the three jail doors. Then, make that internal area between the jail doors"staff only" an...

Re: Struggling With An Entrance

I'm not sure how to take screenshots, otherwise I would post a picture. I used to have the same problem, but I've got it figured out. The first option is to use multiple doors to create through your entrance to create at least one separated zone, and use the deployment screen to mark it staff only. ...

Re: [suggestion] alcohol as luxury

I disagree with this suggestion. Luxuries are things like cell phones- alcohol is an intoxicant.

Re: A25 - Worst patch ever IMO...

I disagree with the "tunnel search" function. Finding tunnels is supposed to be hard- you are supposed to map out where they come from, and have to be strategic about which ones you dismantle. Why do you want to re-nerf them? Can we close this thread down? All of the OP's criticisms/sugges...

Re: (suggestion) Cell allocation

I like the idea of an intake area. If you'd like to get realistic, the intake area would be where the new prisoners check their civilian clothing, and are given their prisoner uniforms. You could also have the intake be where released prisoners checkout, and get back their old clothing. Getting off ...

Re: [bug] Sound effect stuck

Yeah its a new bug with A25. Its been reported in the bug tracker, so they are aware of it. The only way to deal with it now is to quit, and then reload.

It looks very efficient, but has no soul. Showers in the hallways? That's pretty gamey.
