Jobs have to be created by scripts. Jobs that have a material requirement will auto-import that material as long as it is required, often even if the material exists in the prison. I'm not sure how it's coded but at the moment it seems the Door Servo has the same behaviour as an OR gate, opening when any of its inputs go high. I would say it is not currently possible. They did once mention allowing access to array properties, that would probably make it possible to detect it.

This is an excellent and informative post. I would say don't worry about keeping them square. In your third example you show a sprite.png that is 512x256.
