Re: Suggestion: Staff Improvements

Intention of the devs seems that staff is faceless/nameless - maybe with exception of the warden. The game seems to be all about the prisoners and not about the staff. That being said: 1. More staff models and faces. Let's get a greater ethnic variety. I second that. 2. Give staff names. If nothing ...

Re: [Suggestion] riot alert for my staff

I think in any case workers don't start jobs in unsafe areas - with blocking reason: 'not safe' or something like that.
Cooks/teachers/janitors don't seem to mind..

So make the foreman more expensive (eg. each needs an office; wages go up), but please allow us to have a badly designed prison.

Re: Some prisoners should be educated

In the PA universe, educated criminals manage to get away with their crimes - so they do not end up in prison.

Re: [Suggestion] Staff upgrade: transport carts

Addressing the "realism POV" - have you ever tried carrying 30+ kg for distances as long as my workmen do? This is why carts even exist in the real world, they're not being used just for fun. I understand that - but I thought speed was the driver of having carts - as you say: The carts wo...

Re: [Suggestion] Staff upgrade: transport carts

I'd rather have that time invested in better pathfinding (why are my workmen all hanging around the delivery area when there are more jobs than active workmen) than in speed upgrades - also from a realism pov, workmen would not start running with a wheelbarrow / cart..

I agree - I would rather have a new room type (loads and loads have been suggested) than an expansion of one that does not add functionality.

Re: [Suggestion] Corruption and Grants

Keeping track of individual prisoners is hard enough as it is - both because it seems not to be the goal of the devs, and because they move around so much without direct control. If a prisoner wants to be exempt from searches, then shakedowns are going to be a bother. If a prisoner wants a phone in ...

Re: [Suggestion] Smoke detect/fire alarms/servo valve/poo fl

In general, alarm buttons for the guards would be nice - when pushed, guards within an x radius rush in to help out in a fight. Behaviour could be something like: - Guard engages fight with prisoner - When health is under 25%, guard rushes to nearest alarm button to call for help. Additional equipme...

Re: [Suggestions] Death Row and Shop/Contraband

Pogmothoin wrote:Can prisoners buy any contraband from the Shop?

Would that be on the top shelf?

I am guessing the only contraband entering via the shop is in the boxes of goods delivered to the shop. In those boxes contraband is hidden - but prisoners afaik do not pay for that - at least not via ingame currency.

Re: Valuation exploit

In any case you could try to negate the exploit by including a penalty for overcrowding in the valuation. Penalty would need to be at least offsetting the extra income you get from the surplus prisoners. As the different categories min/med/max/deathrow have different income levels, take the highest ...

Exhausted is just another term for 'really tired' - so basically as stated above, a staff room is what you need.

Re: [Suggestion] We should be able to hire staff for the sho

Agreed -

It would be a bit more realistic if there is a non-prisoner present (otherwise why wouldnt shop be looted?).
Also, you don't have constraints on your work schedule that you need to take into account to make sure shop is open.
