Re: Things That Might Be Nice to See in Next Patch

Sex Offender areas are separate to High or Medium Security at some prisons I believe, so it would make sense to be able to designate areas for those prisoners. As for Canonical I believe he's referring to priests and vicars visiting to allow prisoners to repent, another pretty cool feature that I b...

Well it doesn't hurt anything so it's not a big deal. I just think it's funny.

Re: [Suggestion] Reclaim land from water and vice-versa

I'm a little surprised this doesn't appear to have been mentioned yet. I suspect it's too obvious. I would _really_ like the ability to convert water squares into land (dirt) and vice-versa. Of course the cost for doing so should be prohibitively high. This will allow wealthy architects to build la...

Re: Night time regime problems

From http://forums.introversion.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=46877 : First, it is important to understand what the regime settings do. The settings don't force the prisoners to do any particular activity. Instead, they direct the prisoners to go into a certain room. From there, the prisoners will...

Re: [Suggestion] Bring back staff-only door setting

Well I thought so, but no one has said anything on it :P mostly because there's been several suggestion threads about it already and people who had something to say already said it (no one really likes repeating themselves) it's appreciated if you can update the wiki: http://devwiki.introversion.co...

Re: Start a fire

My whole prison is indoors and I've never had a fire. good for you Well you got me thinking about the windows thing and if they are using some kind of heat map I would likely be in trouble  If they do make that an issue I hope they add some kind of ventilation system or items or something fo...

Re: Cant remove walls

I probably should have been more specific; but yeah, do what HeroFV did and you should be fine After I was writing it I got to thinking and you did say "around it" lmao I was just being lazy :P If you think about it, it makes more sense when you would build a foundation around it... as fa...

Re: [Suggestion] Bring back staff-only door setting

with the current path finder penalty system it is already possible, I didn't play with Alpha 16 that much but with alpha 15, prisoners rahter go around a room then through it to enter another room, how does your layout look? Also how should a prisoner enter a room with staff-only doors? Edit2: also...

Well, though I do agree that I would rather see things added first, It does seem like the save system needs an overhaul :p

Re: Start a fire

I hope IV uses a heat map if not already. It'll probably give more incentive to using windows in kitchens, workshops, etc. plus give more of an idea how well our designs are. In the past (either alpha 14 or 15), I've had my laundry next to my kitchen and the washer exploded while I wasn't looking. ...

Love this! Esp the metal detectors... that was driving me nuts. I was even designing around placing them vertically lmao Thank you very much!!! Re: Start a fire

Do fires actually happen naturally? When I first heard about Prison Architect I somewhere read something about a "heat map" that determines if a fire might start... But I don't know if that article was genuine dev info or if this heat map is still used (read about it over a year ago :P). ...
