Re: [Suggestion] Bring back staff-only door setting
I didn't realize I could edit that page. Thanks. There are suggestions on that page that haven't been made or suggested in that depth, though. your welcome. and yeah, people tend to forget the wiki's made available to everyone who's participating in the alpha. also, no one really wants the tedious ...

Re: [Suggestion] Bring back staff-only door setting
Well I thought so, but no one has said anything on it :P mostly because there's been several suggestion threads about it already and people who had something to say already said it (no one really likes repeating themselves) it's appreciated if you can update the wiki: http://devwiki.introversion.co...

Re: Night time regime problems
you can actually see this in other activities such as eat and shower too. as long as they are performing some kind of activity, they won't immediately be assigned a room during work.

Re: Night time regime problems
From http://forums.introversion.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=46877 : First, it is important to understand what the regime settings do. The settings don't force the prisoners to do any particular activity. Instead, they direct the prisoners to go into a certain room. From there, the prisoners will ...

Re: Start a fire
I hope IV uses a heat map if not already. It'll probably give more incentive to using windows in kitchens, workshops, etc. plus give more of an idea how well our designs are. In the past (either alpha 14 or 15), I've had my laundry next to my kitchen and the washer exploded while I wasn't looking. m...

Re: [Research] type of tree
I don't really get it either, but I think it's a random probability with grass (the darker green tree having the higher probability).
I think its funny how even though we plant the tree in the upper left corner, the type of tree depends on the square on the lower right.

Re: [Research] type of tree
I tried this experiment too. I think the dark tree grows on "long grass" which currently isn't a placable material.

Re: [QUESTIONS] About bunkbeds and staff only zones
if IV ever makes it so prisoners can escape by breaking out, that'll probably be when staff only zones are balanced i have had a group of inmates break out once but they didn't escape..just broke down door...rioted in the street for a lil bit and than went back into the prison to do more damage lat...

Re: [SUGGESTION] couple of things could be introduced
first of all, i like these ideas - searching of visitors would surely be handy, the visitors that get in my jail have been known to smuggle in booze lighters and possibly drugs, they have to go through a metaldetector but even if those work on visitors i doubt it would reveal those items. that brin...

Re: [SUGGESTION] couple of things could be introduced
Ventris, when you get the chance, please read this: http://forums.introversion.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=21233 in summary, you have some ideas which have been suggested before, and you should have one suggestion per post to keep things more organized, searchable, and discussable, so we won't ge...

Re: [QUESTIONS] About bunkbeds and staff only zones
also, you have to consider what happens when the player decides to get creative and place more than one bed into the cell. for example, using two single beds instead of one bunk bed. or maybe try to use several bunk beds. what would happen when there is both a single and a bunk bed inside the cell? ...

Re: [QUESTIONS] About bunkbeds and staff only zones
1. How hard will it be (code-wise) to implement multiple prisoners pr. cell? to answer this, you have to think about where in the code each prisoner-cell pairing would be utilized. I can think of several examples (not comprehensive): ⋅ when building the cell, you need to identify whether ...
