Re: Alpha 34 - Shops

You need at least 2 prison populations to run a shop, one works while others have free time (to shop) and vice versa. It's never a good idea to have everyone on the exact same schedule anyway. Also prisoners that don't have a job during worktime are considered to be on freetime. This puts a real ki...

Re: [suggestion] pedestrian bridge.

though it is called the dev forums. i don't know if the devs actually ever read anything here. as you never see a post from them, and i have only once maybe twice even seen them referenced from the alpha videos. that in mind. it would be nice to be able to build a pedestrian bridge over the deliver...

Re: [Suggestion] Free fire in only some part of the prison

I've had a prisoner which was extremely volatile and strong and he always causes some problems. So I had locked him to the permament solitary but he's ALWAYS broken solitary doors and killed some people, no guard with tazer neither armed guard could stop him. In the end I killed him. What I suggest...

Re: Is Withdrawal meant to count as Intoxication

Yeah, under the health tooltip, it counts withdrawl as intoxication. How long does someone have to stay away from drugs for? in game? no idea real life depends on the drug and how much they were used/abused, withdraw can take a couple of weeks, but the worst of the side effects usually only last a ...

Re: [Suggestion] Show water pipes when placing sprinklers

Seconded - and same goes for: - showerheads - washing machines - sinks - toilets - anything needing water. Also, the inverse would be handy - When placing pipes, make any object needing water a blue outline or something. (also, then when at it, do the same for electrics) when you are laying down pi...

Re: [SUGGESTION] Name in Game/Gangs

I heard chris say in the alpha vid that there's more face sprites added, I can't see any new ones on the name in game feature. It would be a nice addition to the name in game if you could pick your gang along with security grade, and possibly a trait or 2, that you always have. I can't see us being...

New alpha is unplayable

Short summary: 1. As soon as guards step outside of a camera view they are invisible. 2. Prisoners are smashing everything and attacking workers constantly for no rational reason Longer explanation: So with the new alpha I started a new prison with a decent amount of money (having previously sold se...

Re: Fix to "Shared zone" logic

I know there are workarounds, like having two entrances to an area -- one entrance for each sec. level. This leaves the other levels off. But it's quite a dis-elegant "solution". I agree. There are several problems with the "airlock" workaround. It takes up more space, costs mor...

Re: Is Withdrawal meant to count as Intoxication

I had an inmate who was suffering withdrawal and a guard searched him. Next thing he is cuffs (the inmate, not the guard :) ) and has "Intoxication" listed as his misbehaviour. With some messing around with the savegame I was able to test this on other inmates and confirm that the guards ...

Re: Way to disable auto-lights on foundation?

I would love to click on the link and up vote this particular request/bug (it's not really a bug) - but I don't seem to be registered as an alpha backer. did you follow the instructions in the email you were sent when you bought the game? have you signed up for the developer forums yet? read: http:...

I stop playing the game when the dogs got stuck in* the* kennel, it* was* frustrating. That was 5 months ago I* think. It's not that I'm* not appreciating the* devs good work. I do appreciate them, I* know it's hard. And I* know it's an* alpha stage of the game. But I* feel really disappointed* in*...

Re: How long does a custom prisoner name take to be approved

Usually it's in the next alpha; unless you put the name in just before one gets put out in which case it may take until the following alpha.

Same thing happens again if you edit one; the changes go in the next alpha.

Re: Remote Access torture test

Definitely not the same power grid. I have my security room on the opposite side of the road on a secure power grid. It operates all the prison blocks various doors. Each prison block has its own secured room for a power station. While the system definitely could use some cleanup and optimization, d...

Re: Whats the biggest prison you have built?

Yea, suppression is totally op, as is that there isn't some huge effect when a need is not met at all. No food? They should starve. No hygiene / dirty clothes? Everyone close should try to get away, incl guards. Same for handcuffs, btw. Check out my most effective prison so far: http://i.imgur.com/...

Re: Max number of prisoners ? (no mod)

Hi both Apologies if I am way off topic here but I don't believe I am. I don't run any mods and am currently at 309 prisoners accepting only minimum and medium security prisoners. I don't seem to have the issue you guys are discussing. I am using a medium sized map and have not bought any additiona...
