Next, my computer is more than capable of handling this game, That's a rather bold statement especially considering that you've just complained about lag. Could you be a bit more specific? Like CPU and RAM details, map size, number of prisoners and staff? I've played this game on multiple different...

I thought that we ALREADY play in sandbox mode?(That after you finish the campaign)... That's true, but I agree that there would be nice to have in-game controls for that. As I see currently the only real objective of the game is to set up stable prisons. This could as well be done by creating an e...

Is there a way to adjust sentences of all prisoners at once?

I'm working on some high density designs and I want to do some stability tests on them (e.g. let the game run overnight and see if any problem arises), but with the current length of sentences the population never really goes above 200. Is there a way to change it in the savefile? I know that I can ...

I'll tell you something though, I'm interested in the possible social implications of denying prisoners light. Would they complain? Riot? Sleep all the time? Does it say more about you than it does them, you sick sick man? :) It certainly does :D Actually I've tried removing all the lights last nig...

I fully agree with the comment on lights - I've just recently dumped all automatically installed ones in my prison and placed new ones myself - you can get your prison lit with a fraction of the lights placed by default.

Okay, now it seems that 200 is the natural limit of population - you can't really get above that, even by accepting maximum security ones only....

Well, it's a remarkably new sense of 'sustainable' I haven't been aware of :) Do you mean that a population of 300 counts as 'large' as of now? I have a prison with room for 250, with 200 inmates living in happily for a while, but I already have some idea on how to push it towards 300 or even 400. I...

Some valid points are made here ('hotel simulator'). I also have the impression that the game as it is now is rather a sandbox one now than anything else. I think that it's probably developer's intention to make the alpha version not too challenging, thus the players can easily unlock and use all th...

What is the largest sustainable population ever achieved?

I'm currently working on a very high population prison, and got curious, what the current record is. Do we have any sample prisons with 300 prisoners or more? (By sustainable I mean that the prison can run without riots for extended periods - e.g. for thirty in-game days - by only touching intake co...

Setting up intake for redshirts only definitely helps. Now I have 200 of them and still counting.

Pogo: I understand how they work, I just don't like it. Let me rephrase my problem, because as it has many sides - and it is also related to zones. As I see, no airlock system can prevent prisoners from escaping without usage of zones. When I assigned prisoners to the kitchen, they managed to get ou...

After a false alarm have you ever tried searching the cell of the prisoner? I found that in many cases they set an alarm, then outrun the guards to their cell and hide the contraband immediately. I found some contraband in their cell after each 'false' alarm so far.

That method works only because the code for prisoners escaping through staff zones has yet to be implemented. When the game's done, your method will no longer work. I can't see what that 'feature' would add to the gameplay. You'd have to patrol a guard at the entrance and rely on his responsivity f...

LOCKED OPEN!?!?!

As long as the entrance can only be approached by crossing a 'staff only' area, prisoners won't escape even if the doors are wide open. Even guards aren't needed there for it to work. That's one of the reasons I think it doesn't make too much sense.
