Re: How to build a working kitchen?

Every prison is going to require two meal times since the prisoners get hungry during the day. You should be able to manage with even fewer cooks: sixteen should do the trick for your prisoner count. Have you done a test where you extend the Eat time and see if all of the food eventually gets taken ...

Re: [Guide] A guide to starting a new prison

Video #4 is up, after I got tired of it being caught in "still processing" lala land.

Re: Quantity of Prisoners arrival

Nope, not without editing the save file (and even then you'd need to do that every day). Whether you're open to one category or three, you'll get the same amount of prisoners.

Re: Forum problem: Oops, I pressed the Change Font Size link

Well that was more of a pain than it needed to be. Shows what I get for trusting the board's Delete Cookie link. :)

Thanks for the info.

Forum problem: Oops, I pressed the Change Font Size link

Now it seems I'm stuck choosing between three different font sizes: too big, disgustingly big, and hideously big. Deleting the board cookie doesn't change the font back to where it was, and I can't find a forum option to fix it either. The funny thing is that as the page loads, the font is at its or...

Re: Questions

You need to not count the door as part of the cells. Once you unzone the door, it will meet the Enclosed requirement.

Re: Workers, workshops and deployment Idea

Just to point out: it's not a recent change that prisoners will pick up sheet metal. They've always done that if the Deliveries area is secure. If you're going to secure it, then go ahead and put it deeper inside the prison (not too far, just far enough in for your security needs). Otherwise, you ca...

Re: [Guide] A guide to starting a new prison

Alright, Alpha 14 is more amenable to being recorded, so I'm able to start up a new series without any difficulty.

The first video is up.

Re: Anyone else have problems with power and food levels in

The TVs require direct power though: a cable running through them if I remember right. Since I doubt anyone has done that by accident, that's not likely to be what caused it.

Has anyone else been requiring more food on brand new prisons?

Why would the change log indicate these statistics? They aren't being changed.

Re: [suggestion] Bind objects to room types

I don't like the idea of artificial restrictions... there's no real reason you wouldn't technically be able to put, say, toilets in the canteen (yuck though). IMO a big part of the charm is being able to make such a hellhole work. The problem is, there's nothing saying that's a hellhole though. As ...

Re: Selling Dumps and Paypal

Before you start jumping up and down and declaring that you have been hacked, why don't you consider a more likely scenario: rather than reporting a spam post, you did what we have been repeatedly asked not to do, and replied to it. Then, when one of the moderators got around to deleting the post, ...

Re: [Suggestion] Rebellion type "incident"

It's probably an oversight. Even if you remove the punishment for something (like how I removed the punishment for having Tools in my prison), the prisoner still sits in handcuffs until a guard escorts them back to their cell.
