Re: [Suggestion] Security Personel Only Deployment Zones

I'd just like the visitors to leave the way they came, so it would be simpler to keep them from walking through your prison to leave. Plus then I could make a very beautiful courtyard for them.

Re: [Discussion] A future patch should cut back micromanagi

Yes I can agree with the fact that tunnels are annoying but the developers are fixing it and just changed it from having to dismantle the toilet to only searching it. I know it can seem tedious but at least now we only have to do a cell search and really you could just search the whole block when t...

Re: [Discussion] A future patch should cut back micromanagi

I am pretty sure that they are tying to purposely make the game like this and even mentioned in an alpha video that they want to keep the player guessing and the game difficult at all stages so that you can't leave the game running. I think that these are some good ideas however and probably should...

Re: Prisoners won't jog during freetime/yard/work

Ha I've never seen jogging before  Usually they just crowd around the entry point (not gated) and move to the showers/toilets... They used to jog around all of the time, never using weight benches. I was away for a while but in alpha 35 I found that they wouldn't jog anymore but would...

Re: [Discussion] A future patch should cut back micromanagi

If I had the ability to automatically set the guards to search the toilets in cells during a certain time every day, say from midnight to five in the morning, two things would happen: I'd be a lot less annoyed by tunnels, and tunnels would cease having any effect on the game at all unless they went ...

Re: Tunnels are still OP

It really surprises me to see people saying that tunnels are in a good spot in Prison Architect right now. Mr. Delay said that he wanted there to be a paranoia about tunnels, where you didn't quite know whether you had prisoners tunneling or not, but I know that they're tunneling, constantly. Becaus...

[Suggestion] Designate freefire zone in deployment

It's a little annoying making Freefire an all-or-nothing thing. I had a Supermax wing with at least one Legendary prisoner who, even with three armed guards on him and me hitting Freefire before trouble started, could still knock two armed guards unconscious. Now imagine if I didn't hear that troubl...

Re: Has anyone run a 'nocturnal' prison?

Prisoners cannot sleep during the day, even if they have a critical sleep need. Right now a nocturnal prison is hardcoded not to work. At the very least you'd be plagued with riots.

Re: Turn off constant prisoners

Don't check Continuous Intake (if it's even a functional checkbox—the Fog of War box isn't), and open the Prisoners report. Click on the green buttons that say Open and they'll changed to red buttons that say Closed. If you're closed to all three classes of prisoners then you won't receive any until...

Re: First week experiences, *fun*, issues and a suggestion

Normally that would be fine, but with new prisoners coming to the prison with random critical needs (including Sleep!), it does make for a tense few days before your population is sufficiently large to shout down the tired complainers.

Eh, they might as well not. You'd have to start coiling them around your prison to notice the fact that they have a limit.

Re: help! overwhelmed

Yeah, then there are other mistakes to be making with the game.

When I bought Prison Architect, I already had the advantage of watching a few hours of Hypnotoad's videos, so I had a bit of a head start. I hope the guide helps you out a bit. :)

Re: help! overwhelmed

A guide should get you started. Text to explain everything, plus it has a video embedded of me actually doing everything so you can see what to do. The guards aren't bringing the prisoners into the prison because you've secured your Deliveries area. They don't seem to like that much, so if you do t...

If I had to guess I'd assume he's designated some cells as being maximum security in Deployment, but doesn't have maximum security prisoners.

Re: Rimworld on Steam Greenlight using Prison Architect?

Where do people even get the idea that RimWorld is "clearly" using Prison Architect source code and graphical assets? The games don't play anything alike (at least for two games in their genre: compare Mass Effect 1 and 2 for instance), and while it uses the graphical style all of the art ...
