Re: Mantis spring cleaning - you can help too!

Initial wave of the laundry assignment is completed. I still need to check on any new reports that came in since the exported report I pulled a few weeks ago. I went on any non-laundry tangents that came out of visiting all the reports that mention "laundry" so this took a while.

Re: [SUGGESTION] Prisoners use windows

As I've said in other posts on this subject, IV went through the trouble of implementing light dynamics in the game. This includes natural lights as well. As an example, building a window projects light from the inside (assuming the inside is lit) and conversely lets natural light in during the day....

Re: [Suggestion] Recruitment & Induction

I was expecting you xander, as we've found ourselves on opposite sides of the micromanagement debate before. As it was then, it's always good to have opposing viewpoints. If staff variability was added, I feel it could also be easily turned off and segregated. I absolutely agree that many players wi...

Re: [SUGGESTION] Prisoners use windows

I agree it should be possible to construct such a prison, but there should be consequences in doing so. These consequences shouldn't be unmanageable, but I feel it should necessitate a tradeoff for the player to consider.

Re: [Suggestion] Recruitment & Induction

I personally crave micromanagement as I see it as part of any good detailed simulation. I also recognize and agree that some players are not interested in this aspect. As I've said in many places, options keep everyone happy. Even with the system on, I see this kind of staff micromanagement being mo...

Re: [SUGGESTION] Prisoners use windows

The effects of natural light were discussed here previously, and has further links as well. I think you've suggested another dynamic / consequence of having windows in a prison. Implementing a natural (and artificial for that matter) light need for the prisoners would be the reason for the player to...

Re: [Suggestion] Recruitment & Induction

I think this is an excellent way to slow down the hiring process, which is really needed. Being able to have a seemingly infinite number of guards (limited only by raw funds and the players' ability to click quickly) magically appear at a problem location needs addressing. This applies to all staff ...

Re: [Bug} Holding Cells not working

Please have a look at Mantis Artifact ID 4900 and Mantis Artifact ID 4905 and see if either condition applies to you. It would be helpful to comment over on Mantis and supply a save game, if available. These reports indicate there may be an issue with maxsec prisoners going to a shared security hold...

Re: Suggestion Door Timetable

I'd say total control over doors would be preferable. This is a prison simulator afterall. See this post and below for some discussion on that, including an early roadmap on the subject from the developers. What's especially nice about the whole servo idea in the roadmap is that it creates a reason ...

Re: [Bug/Question] Bugbash Issues?

I must be losing it after a long day as I managed to not find any of these during my initial search before making my earlier post to the forums. I must have had another search parameter active. In any event, it looks like Mantis Artifact ID 4685 is the most extensive, so I'll grab that as the master...

Re: [Bug/Question] Bugbash Issues?

I've never had any mods installed and am suddenly experiencing this problem. Newly installed beds and toilets are showing as a bathtub and lawyer-looking man respectively (the latter is beyond hilarious). Here's what I've done so far. I'm conflicted on whether to open a new report on this. ⋅&nb...

Re: Bug tracker change log dates are messed up

I wouldn't worry about the dates at all. The important thing to know is that issues listed in "BugBash-1-Test" are awaiting community feedback as to whether they are fixed or not. "BugBash-1-Verified" holds the issues that have received enough positive feedback to classify them a...

Re: Mantis spring cleaning - you can help too!

Also I'd like opinions on this one #2661 . Isn't this more of a feature request? At least I believe this to happen by design. Considering that it's the easiest way to implement it, avoiding to deal with a ton of issues. Considering all the existing issues I believe this won't be added before a rewo...

Re: Bugbash video shows steps not possible for normal report

The issue with not being able to leave notes on resolved bug reports has been addressed by IV. Please try again. Reports that are listed in the "BugBash-1-Test" changelog are still awaiting test and comments from the community.
