Once you have researched deployment, you can assign a patrol route for guards. If you do a 1x1 patrol "route" near a door, a guard will simply stand there. Haven't tested it (since I always use my advice in the paragraph below), but I guess that a guard always standing next to a door will...

Sure, this is fine. But what you must realise is that you need a LOT of room in between the buildings of your prison and the guard towers. If there are a million places to hide, guard towers are useless. For a guard tower to be effective, you need double wire fences. Prisoners approaching the fences...

Torture of prisoners???

Wow. Really? I see SO many threads advocating Torture Chambers, Sniper towers, guards armed with lethal weapons, the ability to choose who to execute and the method whereby this is performed, the ability to bash prisoners (or maggots as they were called earlier), waterboarding and finger breaking......

Seriously...when the devs have COMPLETELY exhausted ALL their ideas... no, no-one would EVER think of that. WOW!

As far as I can tell, he MUST have a road, and also a working delivery area, as his workers could build his "badass" prison. Unfortunately, that's the only suggestion I could think of, that his delivery area was not touching the road. To me, that seems like it CAN'T be the case, as his bui...

Dave, I had the same problem. I built my entire prison before getting my first prisoner intake (sure, I "cheated" by giving myself a few million bucks to do this, but I was in the experimenting stage). I had intended to have a maximum security wing and a minimum security wing. I zoned the ...

HerrJoeBob,

I realise there ARE countries/states that have more than one method so that the prisoner can choose his method of demise. I did say "generally". But I really don't think it is necessary in this sim/game.

Then how about accidently hitting the stomach hard, causing bleed or breaking hand bones, rendering disabled.. The idea is to remove the prisoner's will to fight and make him totally compliant ONLY. If you want to bust him up and send him to hospital, that is another means of escape to them. If you ...

I really don't think that different methods of execution in one prison are necessary. Those countries/states that do permit execution generally use one method or another (that which is perceived as being "most humane"). Of course, this might work as n historical concept, as mentioned earli...

Still, "half-finished" or not, I'm having an absolute BALL with this sim/game, and have got my money's worth already (even though I bought a "physical pleasures" version of the sim/game). The new graphics shown in another thread makes me really excited, a campaign mode, with advi...
