Topic: A good way to implement gangs

Good idea. I was thinking along the lines of gangs forming based one-on-one relationships; ie, get into fight with bob ( -10 bob), use television object with actors x,y,z (+5 x, +5 y, +5 z). etc. But I think the whole initiation process based on probability and demographics is more realistic. I woul...

I agree, a mix and female-only prison option is a reasonable request for the final product.

I voted no because I don't feel like it adds anything to the gameplay. I would rather hope the prison-part of the simulation would be more developed before diverting attention to the environment simulation of the game. I don't think these features would hurt though, that is if the game was more poli...

It would be interesting if guard behaviour is based on balancing 3 traits: dominance/intimidation, fear, and abuse. Guards will have a baseline "fear" that is directly influenced by other prisoners. For instance, prisoner fighting will increase the fear meter of any guards within the area....

I agree with OP's suggestion. Starcraft or not, Hotkeys, and other UI improvements would make the game more enjoyable and polished.

For the comment about alpha, this wasn't meant for that. I meant when the game finished it could be an interesting mod not right now when the game is changing so much. I just want to see teachers with rulers taking down fifty students for not shutting up. Mention it after alpha then, your suggestio...

I really dislike the idea of making the utility system more complex. I want to run a Prison - not be the janitor or some kind of water or electricity guy. I disliked the water system in Sim City (the electricity system worked well in the first games) because it was not fun. It was as fun as grindin...

"You might also have the ability to add or remove time based upon their actions in the prison. Do they squeal? Knock some time off their sentence as a reward. Do they constantly cause trouble? Add on years as punishment." I don't agree that we should have direct control, such as a pop up o...

currently the game does not use unassigned guards to do the transfers, it just takes whomever it wants to bring the prisoners in. I really like the idea of a processing facility, all you really need to do is to add something like "intake" or "prisoner processing" into the rooms ...

I play DF and like having multiple levels there. Gnomoria too, but PA is not the same kind of game. We're not mining anything. We need to be able to see what's going on. Multiple levels stops that happening. Simple as that. I would argue a sprawling prison is just as bad for visualization. A benefi...

Provide the option, as an inefficient trade-off for order. (Req. guards)

Honestly, probably not worth it until we have special prisoners.
