Just opened it today, I'm not sure how long it takes for steam to post the new groups. I'll look in to it and get back to you.
I found out that the groups are a little buggy.

I for one loved uplink on the iPad. I think this game would do great. Just have to get over the CPU power some how.

preferences.txt
Yep, same here on Mountain Lion. My config is a MacBook Pro with external display (LG, 1920x1080 resolution) and MBP lid is down. Also noticed that preferences.txt gets reset to ScreenW 0 and ScreenH 0. I'm still new to mac, is the preferences.txt file a hiden file? I can't seem to find it anywhere...
