We know gangs are probably making it into the game, but I'd like to see certain inmates develop into other roles, like the pushers, the junkies, the gamblers, the basketball guys, the workout guys, etc. Then we can see others interact with them and to give the game some randomness, partly to make so...

I use this "specialist cell" strategy too. Any complainers during the night get sent to a holding cell with all the facilities. Too bad there's no snack machines so hungry inmates can stop complaining.

I'm noticing some slowdown too, 109 prisoners with 107 capacity with more than a half of a medium map filled. It's definitely still playable but it will begin to slowdown after a little while of gameplay. On the first load everything is still smooth, it's only after a little while that it slows down...

Voted guard deployment. Digging tunnels and the fire stuff sounds cool, but guard management trumps those 2 for sure. I want to see the core mechanics fleshed out more before the "nice to haves" :D

At first I thought they should be set to staff only so only guards could open it but realized a lot of them were wanting to go back to the cells to sleep during freetime. So no it's not necessary. Although I wonder if you had like an equal amount of guards and prisoners would everyone get the escort...

Yup it's a combination of unhappiness and crowds that causes it. Solving one or the other helps but bringing a bunch of guards where crowds will appear beforehand calms them down too

[Bug] Showering without water

Prisoners showering under unconnected shower heads. No water, no power, no shower room designation. Hygiene needs dropped afterwards too.

On that note, maybe a bit too dwarf-fortressy, but i would like to assign every prisoner to a cell (like bedroom-assigment in df). Later this could be usefull to have a cell-block for the heavy boys to keep them distant from the normal inmates. You can already do this. Select a prisoner, then right...
