ok i will try those ideas, also are all the files installed into the defcon folder or are they installed into another folder? because i only have a few files in there and they are all pretty small in size? just wondering if that is normal

any other ideas? really want to play this game

tried unplugging it still not working

sound.dat is there and new drivers didnt change anything.

would really like to play this game at some point... help would really really appreciated.

I just brought a copy of Defcon from the steam store and installed it fine but when i try to open it i get "Defcon has stopped working" i have latest drivers for my gfx card (ati hd4850) and have tried reinstalling , any advice will be greatly welcome.
