That's how I feel playing the Sims, except this is more interesting and slightly devious. You aren't building them a luxury castle that they should like, but something they should tolerate and not be able to kill each other.

What cool stuff have you found in the game that you enjoyed?

I didn't realize there were lock levels on the door and my prisoners kept stealing knifes out of the kitchen area. I also liked building stuff and realizing that it was crap and wouldn't work out, then starting over and fixing my mistakes, eventually learning how to make an ok prison. I realize ther...

There are plenty of prison simulator, prison games, such as Prison Tycoon and etc. Besides the fact that those games were bad, and the building of the prison was not your main focus. I see this game in the same vein as Dwarf fortress, except you are building and modifying the world around the chara...

Maybe this is where the Subversion criminals went after they robbed those banks.

With the little snippet of video there are many different ways this game could play out. I'm excited.

That was one reason I really enjoyed Uplink, because it's something I don't get to do in real life. Most of us don't get to be international hackers. Most of us don't get to rob banks. Introversion games are always very immersive and make you feel like you are in the game. One example in Uplink if y...

Storytelling is definitely something that has to be changed to elevate videogames to an art form and not just a medium. Of course there are artistic aspects to video games, but they are a dynamic medium as opposed to say art or film. Dynamic storytelling will have to be rediscovered and refined, whe...

Awesome video. That would be neat to have different physical properties for different blocks. If they could figure out a way to make them more efficient they would be a much more realistic approach to how the world actually operates.

Graphics in games take up a lot of work, i.e. Artists, Level Designers, Engine Builders, Effects Work, Motion Capture, etc.. Which for an indie developer with only a few people working on the game have to cut off at a point. That's where the importance of procedurally generated programming comes in....
