It's not like games of this nature have never been done with multiple floors. =P It's not exactly the world's most difficult problem. Any decent UI should be giving you vital information without the need to actually have your camera on the place of interest. I mean you say that multiple floors would...

I'm a big fan of building/management games. However, the prison model is a touchy subject (to me) and if it weren't Introversion I would probably avoid it. Not because it doesn't look like an interesting game, but because I find the subject matter can be rather uncomfortable when it isn't afforded a...

There's hardly any need to be patronizing. ;) I realize it sounds like an incredibly banal question, but honestly it was a suspicion in the guise of a question for the sake of politeness. Generally speaking, building/management games with multiple 'layers' have that function built into the UI. There...

Multiple floors?
Something I've noticed in the handful of videos and screencaps I've seen of the game, is that everything in the game appears to take place on the ground level. There's never a depiction of multiple floors, or basements. Is that something that is planned? In my mind what I really want out of this gam...

Yeah, I can see that as a problem. Planning the heist was not required at all, it was all just improvisation. It's a demonstration, and he built the level and everything in it. Of course it didn't require planning, he's probably played it dozens and dozens of times. ;P Obvious it wasn't a terribly ...

Of course it's always possible things will change from now to release, but it sounds very much from descriptions like speech in general is being dealt with in the abstract. I doubt there will be any sort of dialogue tree stuff going on in the missions, which is just as well. It'd bog things down, pr...

Really it depends on how difficult/expensive it would be to implement multiplayer(expensive assuming the game would make use of Steamworks). I would absolutely love to play this game multiplayer, I have a group of friends that I think would just love to get together in a game like this. Especially i...

I've been looking forward to the next blog, and you didn't disappoint! The music sounds amazing. You say it's just a rough draft, but I almost want to say not to touch a thing, it sounds perfect as is. I particularly like that distant-sounding, echoing background instrument, either a low cello note ...

I imagine that the social engineering part will be pretty tough to do any justice to. Anything less than really simplistic would be tough. The minimal approach would be having characters with a social skill that gives them options like 'distract' and 'mislead,' and the reactions (amount of time dist...
