Update: How to install and verify?

I got the update, which is the same four files as the original install. There appears to be no installation process. When I click on the new .exe it takes me back to where I was in my last game. Can you please tell me if I need to do anything to install v2 over v1 (like uninstall v1, for example) an...

Well, barracks = holding cell but the Cell Block A contact calls for individual cells. I made the mistake of thinking I was being clever by building a geometrically perfect block of 2-bed cells, each with window and toilet. It didn't qualify and I did not fulfill the contract.

Oh I'm not young at all. And I know what a Polaroid is. I just didn't understand this particular function within the game, or how it's activated.

What does "Polaroid" mean?

I've occasionally seen -- or iadvertently made -- a little red icon on the map that says "Polaroid". Does anyone know what this is about?

Thanks, I guess that settles that. I don't know why there cannot be two prisoners per cell as there are IRL. One per is much more expensive and differs little from solitary confinement.

Do cells have to be single-bed?

I'm just wondering why my Cell Block A did not get the grant once it was built. To save on space and materials I built 8 2-bed cells, each with toilet and each more than the minimum space requirements. I never got the little red exclamation point warning that I had not met the minimum requirements. ...

It appears to me that you cannot wall off the outside delivery area wall where the truck bringing the prisoners pulls up because the only ones that get out are those whose positions on the truck correspond with no wall. This means you need to wall off and secure the inside perimiter of the delivery ...

I did indeed fence in my delivery zone, so this intel gives me hope. I also placed two layers of prison gates at the entrance to the jail; it's possible that if I didn't hire guards early enough, the prisoners would have been locked out, bladders bursting. I am going to investigate all this.

I'm a little sad not to be able to play the game any more because the last two times I tried the first prisoner intake did nothing but jump up and down in the two-toilet holding cell dying for a leak. if anyone discovers a workaround, knows how frequently it occurs or learns if this is being address...

Of course, this particular bug may or may not be one of the ones that get fixed in the first update :p Right. But as much as I like this game -- and I really do -- I'm not spending an hour or more of my precious leisure time crafting a beautiful, geometrically perfect prison only for the game, and ...

Well, many thanks for responding, it's good to know it's an acknowledged issue. Do we have an ETA on the next update? I guess I'm putting the game aside until then.

2x now: Prisoners get stuck waiting to use WC

On two plays now, my first batch of prisoners arrive, all dying tio pee. I have built a holding cell with two functional, properly-plumbed toilets. They go in there, complain endlessly about wanting to use the toilet, and get stuck. They never leave, for meals, nor go to their beds to sleep. This is...

Agreed. It would be even better if they were sortable, by group and name.

[Suggestion] Alternate map movement method

WASD to move the map seems awkward and old-fashioned to me. How about using the mouse to shift the map up/down and left/right by moving the cursor against the borders?
