Actually, it should be 1/8 scale model of the park. 1 block in the nexus = 8 blocks in the normal world. Source Also on the plus side, you could make one mega-winian out of the red stone that's everywhere in the nexus, and one out of the mud material. Optionally, you could also make one out of the l...

You'd have to light a fire between their legs to make the portal appear.

....That sounds so dirty.

Pro tip: Don't pick up the poison mushrooms, you have to eat them to clear valuable inventory space.

So, 'plausible' blocks would be- dirt, stone, planks/stumps, obsidian, cacti, glass, gravel(?), water. It's a real pity you can't use doors as blocks because I really want to create a doorwinian. EDIT: It might be possible to build a couple of the darwinians out of glass, then flood one with lava an...

You guise and your aquaphobia. Anyway, since we need the viewpoint and the back of the furthest Darwinian to be within 150 metres (this seems to be the safe distance) of each other, we have to take into account the field of view. I've done some testing regarding view distance and field of view. At ...

I'd be very willing to help with the darwinian logo project. I'd hoped to help with the original v3, but I didn't buy the game quickly enough =( You could probably make a more solid-looking cactus darwinian if you zigzag on the diagonals like this: x x x x x I'm pretty sure that's possible, anyway. ...

Mmk, so I just bought the game last night. I hopped onto your server and forgot about the whole 'living across the ocean from you guys' thing, so I was very lonely. I did take the time to explore, and I have to say it's pretty impressive. Doors are my nemesis, though. Even when I tried opening them,...

You could probably double the amount of blocks the spring fills if you stick the spring in the middle of the arm, rather than at the end.

I have to thank you guys, this thread brought my attention to minecraft. I've been testing it out the past few days and I'm thinking of buying it within the next week, after one of my midterms. I know I don't have a thousand posts, but if I do buy minecraft could I join your server? I really like th...

Misleading title is misleading, made me think someone actually died. Still, interesting to read how he's pretty much solely responsible for your initial success.

I found this in part 17 of the subversion blogs that is relevant to your second idea. In this quote, he explains the simple circuit diagram for a sliding door mechanism. http://www.introversion.co.uk/blog/20090526/circuit_slidingdoors_simple.jpg The way it works is quite simple. The two motion senso...

Re: Ideas and questions

Questions: Will the whole wired systems stuff still be in? Is mission limited to building or is there still a proceduarlly generated city? Will it be moddable? 1) The wire stuff is the system used by every mechanism in the game, with some lua scripting for the more complex systems. They re-wrote a ...

Interesting idea, but one that might be really annoying in practice. It would really, really suck for your best agent to turn on you, especially at a critical moment. What might work better is if the agents you could hire come from specific companies or corporations, and those agents may be less wil...
