Re: Recreating a War Room

Hey, sorry for being about a year late, but there has been such an adaptation in Austria back in 2011: http://1000atmosphaeren.at/portfolio-it ... st-strike/

Did you go through with your own plans in 2016?

Reduce game speed to less than 1x?

I just returned here to look for a way to decrease game speed to slow-motion (less than x1 game speed) for a WAR ROOM setting involving decision-making processes between multiple participants per party. Do you know if this lower limit is hard-coded, or actually easy to change? As of now, I have modd...

Does anyone have this map file?

The only one I found here:
http://defcon.zanzer7.net/?modlist

Is the Cold War map with the northpole in the center. I would love to have the equatorial map, but with Cold War era territories..

This game is not dead. :) I am still lurking around as well.. I just tried increasing World Scale to values above 200 in an attempt to reduce the exaggerated airplane speeds (about 30.000 km/h fighter speed on size 200) to normal levels. Sadly, more than 200 isn't accepted, and altering the gameopti...

Allright I was thinking about something like HP MINI 5102 Current Netbooks are way beyond 800x600, so that shouldn't be a problem. Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 3150 is the state of the art graphics chip. If I googled correctly, OpenGL support should be back on track for these new chips. Guess i...

DEFCON on Netbook?

I am thinking about buying a netbook, and would like to play DEFCON on it. Will this be possible? If the Netbook runs Windows 7: http://forums.introversion.co.uk/defcon/viewtopic.php?t=7104 Netbooks don't really have a dedicated graphics processor, right? So will I be able to get good open GL driver...

I get more units, but never enough. :)
Even variable setups doesn't permit enough radar dishes to simulate historical levels, I fear.

And better late than never, huh Vicious? ;)

Ah, right, of course.

I was going to apply it to all players in the network of course.

I am currently trying to recreate the movie Fail Safe. Will be a hard thing to do with fighter range being only 7 minutes.

How can I add a playable power?

I am checking out "coldwarpolar" It's a nice mod for cold-war situations. However, I would need a total of 4 players: One pseudo-allied player per superpower, for a complicated reason. There's only 3 players for this mod. So how can I add pseudo-playable powers (that would only serve as a...

Finding my way around here

Hello, community! So I've finally decided to get serious with this game. Knew it when it came out in 2006, but only played around a bit with it back then. Now I am thinking about recreating cold-war scenarios with several people. I spent quite a few hours browsing your board. Are my assumptions corr...
