I segregate my prison into three security levels: minimum, max, and death row.
Maybe I should have supermax, but the added complexity takes up space.

[Suggestion] Tiny contraband
I think it would add some fun if prisoners can recieve tiny contraband in the mail. Like plastic lockpicks, or building plans.

Re: One infirmary, two security zones.
When you build a wall down the center of a room, funny things happen. It happens to any room actually.

Re: [SUGGESTION] Public opinion of prison
It is already sort of reflected in the grading screen. And armed guards are perfectly normal in patrol and such. In a real world prison, you never should have armed guards inside the prison. Sure, its normal to have them guarding the perimeter or the entrances, but having them inside poses a huge s...

Re: [Suggestion] Rewards for good behaviour
Was watching Locked Up last night and they showed a prison which had a really nice area for prisoners who were acting good and following rules. They got TVs, more room, tables, cookers, books, games, etc. I know we have a common room but i don't know of any way to determine how a prisoner would ear...

Re: [Suggestion] Standard Operating Procedure
Given the recent update which has each prisoner provide a constant $150 per day, but with the only difference being initial payments for max, medium, and min security prisoners, I'm going to expand upon my previous idea. Remove initial payments, but pay different amounts for each prisoner based upon...

Re: [Suggestion] Starving while waiting for solitary
After a riot, I have a lot of prisoners sitting in place not allowed to go eat because they're waiting for solitary. Also, prisoners in solitary for long periods miss meal time and regularly starve. I suggest you allow me to override the punishment or prisoners in or waiting for solitary to be thei...

Re: [Suggestion] Prisoners develope and lose traits
Personally a trait I would love to see is 'chronic injury' meaning when your prisoners get beat really hard, there is a small chance they will develop a lifelong injury slowing their movements. This would also likely affect your grading. Also prisoners who spend a long time in solitary might have a...

[Suggestion] Standard Operating Procedure
I wish to implement standard operating procedure. No need to manually toggle freefire, my guards should be trained in what to do. I wish for a simple logic flow chart. For example: If prisoner is damaging property OR harming life, guards may use taser. (this is a little more strict than it currently...

When Prison Architect is completed
Can you guys do the greatest deed, and release the source code to all your alpha backers once the game is complete? Same license as you released your previous source codes on. Although subversion is a bit tricky to fiddle around with, so I'd prefer it if it was in a zip file. If you release the sour...

Game Balance Suggestion
I find when I'm starting a new prison, I usually have to use cheat engine or edit the save file to get the funds necessary to build it. Here's a solution: Triple the income from the prisoner grant. Double the cost of guards. Triple the cost of food. This would balance the game beautifully. Edit: and...

Re: Sequel or SDK?
I think if Introversion makes $10 million dollars or even more off of prison architect, once the complete the game, they should release it as open source.
No seriously, at $5 million dollars per IV founder, they would be set for life, if they invest properly and spend conservatively.
