I'm also having this problem with x86_64 version of Ubuntu. I *have* installed: libgtk1.2 libgtk1.2-dev Just for good measure, I ran ldconfig. Still getting this problem. Tried in Wine, too - it ran great until I tried to change the screen resolution. Now it won't launch at all... or rather it launc...
