Anyone know how to get passed this on The Third Kind

I am stumped on this one. http://i.imgur.com/lXWrL.jpg I can get there in about 7-8 minutes if I do well. However, the crossfire this little minifort sets up is really... ouch. Further, seems the bullets can shoot through the walls here. Everything else is a bit of a slog, but OK.

it's not necessarily a bad idea. When i started playing multiwinia i was amazed at how much there in a game, throwing in things like kites is just another little morsel for people to snack on.

consider that you can emulate waypoints perfectly with timing, it's just annoying. and constantly selecting and clicking will move DG's in your direction, thats how you rush turrets. also my statement is that waypoints don't belong in lemmings. Vikings is more prime for waypoints. my logic was that ...

ok so we have alot of mixed answers when it comes to what an interface should do. I think the lemmings example is best. my statement goes something like this: there is a boarder between a game like lemmings and a game like... vikings. it has to do with what you have direct control over i'm making a ...

if were going to get anywhere were going to have to have common ground. If we just flat out disagree with everything we say, then how will we come to a conclusion? In situations like this the next step is to establish points that we agree on, and make inferences from those points. actually we seem t...

ok hold on a sec slow down I'm trying to make my point gradually. Yes and no. An officer in goto mode directs units. Officers can be turned off and on, and can create formations, as well. However, in general, I agree with your point. your right i wasn't completely explicit. but still the functionali...

seems like he has a head on his shoulders, i don't see why not. edit: side note, It's arrogent to assume ones position is right. You have to acknowledge the possibility that waypoints will detrimentally effect the game, xander obviously has good reason to think so. I don't, but i could be missing so...

My bet is it goes something like this: (coming up with arbitrary numbers) is enemy MW within 5 range? - did i pass probability to fire? -- Fire and run. (else run) Am i not in formation? - is enemy MW within 4 range? -- are then more then 10 MW's within 2 range of target MW? --- have i being ordered...

this is a constant bother in strategy games, and the only cure is to humble yourself and take the loss. Think about it like this, someone cant win without someone else loosing. SOMEONE has to loose, and if enough people do this, then you at least have fighting competition. :D typically when you play...

why does everyone think other games don't have officers... anyone heard of rally points?... It seems if i'm going to convince you i'm going to have to do it one point at a time, through a checklist 1.Waypoints vs Officers A. officer function B. waypoint function 2.Gameplay Mechanics A. priorities B....

... my arguments bad pathfinding and MW needs waypoints. the fact that other games have it is either here nor their , but the reasons the developers of those games added a waypoint system are just as valid for multiwinia. saying MW needs waypoints because other games have waypoints is retarded. I th...

Hey! Wha'd'ya know! I never knew that. Interesting. I wish I had known that when I first started playing. OMFG. Also officers are standing orders think about it, when was the last time you deliberately killed an officer to trip a player up, that the player didn't rectify immediately. Officers are r...

come to think of it, ctrl already functions semi appropriately for waypoints. just add functionality on top of ctrl. hold ctrl then set either one point to go directly to, or set multiple points to follow. What could possibly be wrong with that, it adds no keys or complication.
