I know Xander, i just love to see those little Darwinians running smoothly around the landscape.

Im a bit demanding when it comes to the framerate.

But, oh well, slow motion from time to time is alright!

I wasn't thinking of gaming when i bought this notebook.

And, can't really expect a lot from an integrated gpu.

I will keep fiddling with the graphics settings to see if i can get a better framerate.

I've lowered the resolution to the minimun (640x480) and i'm getting a framerate of 28.

Is this the best i can hope to achieve?

Ok! Well... great, i guess i'll give linux a chance. I also see your point on the game running on linux, beacuse linux has a smaller footprint on the Pc's hardware the game should have more resources to take from. Beacuse, Linus uses less resources.

Well, the video card on the Eee Pc 1000 is the Intel GMA 950, it's been around for a while so windows drivers should be very refined at this point. About the linux version, i really don't know about drivers on linux, actually im taking the plunge here with the Eee Pc. Beacuse i have never used Linux...

I'm thinking of buying an Asus Eee Pc 1000, the Linux version. And Defcon is going to definetly be installed. So, would it run faster and with better graphics on the Linux distribution included with the Eee Pc or on Windows?
