Not just Intel X3100 Macs
The linked Ambrosia topic suggests that it's X3100 only machines that are affected. Well my Aluminium iMac (RadeonHD2600) also seems to be affected. Goes to black screen, then returns, but frozen, and needs rebooting at that point. Nothing posted in the error logs at all about it. (commenting here b...

i'm forty - a mature gamer - i used to sneak into the school computer lab to play Elite on BBC computers! :D who remembers Elite here?? - quite possibly the best computer game of all time... 8) Yep, that's why I dropped A-level computing; too much time spent playing Elite on the BBCs. And I'll be 4...

Be more valuable in the alliance than out of it. Make sure all your moves are visibly supporting the alliance, even if they have another motive. Don't telegraph your intentions. Pay very close attention to any alliance units near you; particularly bombers over you when you're in a fight with a theor...

Easy Duel
http://colonsay.easyweb.co.uk/~martin/temp/screenshot-2008-09-06-01_sm.jpg Surface navy started off just west of India, and backed off Eastwards, to draw him away from his protective land units and into range of my silos. All his sunk pretty quickly. At DefCon1, he ran a few bombers my way, and sur...

I've graduated to being an experienced player have I? It was a fun game, to be sure - although putting all 6 silos on Asia's northern border maybe wasn't all that smart. Worth a go though, particularly if you'd had had airfields in range  (yes, I should have waited to Defcon 4 to ch...

CPU cheatery
I've just spectated a game where a player playing EU left, and the replacement CPU knew about (ie silo targeted) a radar, a silo and an airfield on the China Sea, with no EU units having gone near, and no alliance either that would reveal them. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3248/2808213541_7a643584...

Mac experience
Just because you have a MAC, doesn't mean you're impervious to viruses, spy-ware, and memory hogs. Learn how to use a computer! Not impervious, but certainly more resistant than WinXP, and with far fewer threats to be resistant too. Anyway, platform wars aside: I have a newish iMac at home w...
